Jusfy wants to be the Lawyer’s Operating System

In 2018, Raphael Pagoulin was a partner of a law firm inside the Rio Grande de Sol when he faced an operational problem: many customers wanted to review their bank loans after high interest rates – But the operation took months.
“We had to prove that the contract was 50% higher than the average interest rate of the central bank, then we calculate the contract according to the same standards, using the average rate of British Columbia,” said Raphael to the Brazil Journal: “Therefore, we had to appoint an accountant, receiving around 1,000 Brazilian riyals for each operation and it takes two weeks for each operation.”
As with all the complications that make Brazil hell for a businessman, the result was a waiting list for more than 50 operations at the Rafael office, which began to think about the ways to accelerate things. The solution was found: Automation of the account using an internal developed system.
“It was a simple system, and the automation that we created to make our lives easier. But when we displayed it in the air, the moment of each process has gone from two to two minutes, and the cost decreased From 1000 Brazilian riyals to zero – and many other lawyers have started to request use, “remember.
Unexpected demand prompted the lawyer to convert the system into a product, which led to the appearance of Jusfy, a program as a (SaaS) service trying to place itself as the “operating system” of the lawyer.
Today, the automation of the calculation of banking contracts is only dozens of solutions provided by the startup to the lawyer. There is another tool that calculates the amount of care of the entrusted child – a process that also tends to take a long time – and another tool is looking for jurisdiction in all courts of Brazil.
There is also Jusfile, a large petition database with models ready to use avocado as the basis of the process. The founder said: “The lawyer spends 50% of his time in activities that have nothing to do with the law, to file a prosecution or be in audience.” “We help him in these secondary activities.”
The start of the start of a single subscription provides access to the entire status. The price varies from 59 Brazilian riyals per month to 97 Brazilian riyals per month, depending on the number of information authorized.
In the two years following her life, the startup has earned more than 4,500 subscribers and closed last month with repeated income of 300,000 Brazilian Riyals / month. Now Jusfy has just raised a visit of $ 1.3 million, led by Saasholic, in which Norte Ventures and Harvard Alumni Angels of Brazil participated.
Also participated in the tour, providential investors such as Daniel Erbix, Legal Director of Google, Ricardo Goldfar, of the dominant family Logas Marisa, Joao Costa, founder of Kovi, Alexander Dopographic, of all, and Victor Lazart, of Wildlife . .
With the tour, Raphael hopes to reach 40,000 users in the next eighteen months, when the startup wins 2 million Brazilian riyals per month. “In five years, we want to become an operating system for a lawyer, with all the tools they need on the platform,” said the CEO.
The dream is great, but also the directive market. Rafael calculates that there are 1.3 million lawyers in Brazil – a number which must reach 2 million by the end of 2024, taking into account the students who must obtain their diploma at that time, according to the guy and oab data. “Thanks to the tools we have today, we appreciate that our guidelines market is 300,000 lawyers. But with the addition of other solutions, this number will increase.”
