Skype for Business and the new 3CX Framework for 3CX Client for Windows
In the new year with new victories! Today we offer a unique add-on component that allows you to contact contacts from the Skype client to the client via the 3CX client.
Business is simple – Click on the Skype for Business interface and select the 3CX call option. The call will be forwarded from the installed 3CX client via the 3CX PBX.
Our add-on component allows you to solve a simple but very urgent problem – making calls from the Skype for Business client via a standard SIP framework.
The 3CX server in this case is a simple and inexpensive “go-between” between Skype for Business, available SIP ports, standards and standard SIP lines.
Install the 3CX Skype for Business program
basic requirements
3CX V15 SP4 Pro or Enterprise Edition
3CX Client for Windows V15 SP4 and newer
Skype for Business 2015 or 2016 (Windows)
Install the helper program
Install Skype for Business. The following client versions are supported:
Skype for Business 2016 (Office 365 or Office 2016)
Skype for Business 2015 (Office 365 or Office 2015)
Install 3CX Client for Windows V15 SP4 or higher (60903 or higher).
Download the 3CX Skype for Business plugin and install it.
Restart the Skype for Business client to activate the additional component.
Using the Helper Program
Select the contact you want to call, right-click and select 3CX Call. The 3CX client will open for Windows and connect.
If there are multiple contact numbers, a list of numbers will appear in a 3CX client. You can select the number you want to call.

Install the helper program
Access the 3CX Management Interface
Specify Updates > 3CX Clients from the top menu. You will see the client update.
Select the Windows client update and click Download Selected. 3CX will download clients from update server and notify users
When the client starts or restarts, the user will be notified of an update, after which the update will be automatically installed.
