Windows Small Business Server Announced
Server and Tool Business news bytes has published an ad for a new version of a comprehensive small business server.
Windows Small Business Server 2011 (SBS) will be available with three flavors:
Windows Small Business Server 2011 Essentials – It was previously called “Aurora”, a solution for beginners for small businesses with up to 25 users.
This option does not require a separate license (cal) for each user. This server option will provide quick access to Office 365 cloud services, EIL, cooperation and customer relationship management services; Windows Small Business Server 2011 Standard – previously known as Windows SBS “7”.
This option, designer for companies whose number of users reaches 75 users, provides technology as institutions. Setup includes the following functions: Automatic server backup, mail solution, SharePoint sites, remote access and file server.
This version of the server requires a license for each user (cal). This server variable will be available in December 2010 (through OEM channels in February 2011) at a price of $ 1096 and the customer’s license price is $ 72;
The premium complement of Windows Small Business Server 2011 is an optional package that allows us to use Window Server 2008 R2 and SQL Server 2008 R2. This package can be included for the basic and default options of the server.
SBS 2011 Premium Add-On 1.604 USD will cost USD, while CAAL CUSTOMERS (CAL) is $ 92. This additional function will be available in December 2010.
The blog also indicates that the product received over 90,000 downloads during the Windows Small Business Server Windows Version version “7”.
